This week year 4 had a lovely trip to the beach.
We spent lots of time in class sketching maps of the local area, using compasses to think about what direction we’d need to go to navigate to the local beach from school.
On our journey we were conducting fieldwork to identify the human features in our local area.
We collected lots of seaweed and shells to make seawigs linked to our book in English ‘Oliver and the Seawigs’.
Finally, we sat down and completed some sketches of the boats and beach huts.
It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves!
